Get in on Cluecon 2009

  • I remember the 2007 Cluecon event where the brightest minds from the global open source community ranging from new and older telephony company's CXOs, their developers, entrepreneurs, and intellectuals were side by side over MACs and PCs (;-). Some of the most interesting presentations I was able to capture on Youtube. People were hired and new solutions were born.

Everyone feels included at Cluecon, and that is why I wanted to interview Anthony Minessale and Brian West of FreeSWITCH™ to see what's around the corner in the 2009 event.

This is the 5th Cluecon, the first was in 2005. Listen to the guys recall on this podcast, not knowing what they were doing which was to their advantage. People just showed up and took turns talking. An engineer from Sangoma complimented, "Thank you for not making us stand up all day every day at a booth." Real business and development takesplace at Cluecon events, with emphasis on development.

The presentations and discussions at Cluecon 2009 will cover several open source telephony applications such as Asterisk/Callweaver, OpenSIPS/Kamailio (formerly OpenSER), Bayonne, YATE and FreeSWITCH. Other great projects that will be discussed include OPAL and Woomera.

Each day of the conference is filled with presentations and Q&A sessions with many of the leaders in the industry including hardware engineers, programmers and project leaders. No short course or even full semester can deliver as much information and knowledge as this concentrated exposure to the front lines of Telephony.

A real collectible, a MACBOOK PRO will given away on the last day of Cluecon but you must be present. It will have all the Cluecon sponsor logos on the lid. The greenest phones on the planet from snom will be given away. Free Ohio USA DIDs to mix into testing, trials, and development "labs." Don't forget the first night party sponsored by DIDX, to celebrate the Cluecon participants and FreeSWITCH developer community.

If you are looking for information on how to get involved in telephony to start a new product, to engage in the development of a telephony application or to learn how to equip your home with things you never imagined were possible this conference will not disappoint.  Spend your days learning and your evenings in the heart of Chicago! Attendance is only $499.00 (early bird special; standard rate is $699.00) Reserve Your Seat Online Now! or call 877 742-CLUE.
