Daniel-Constantin Mierla with the Kamailio Project Formerly Known as OPENSER
Daniel-Constantin is known as a pioneer, presenter, entrepreneur and developer in open source telephony and technology. What was formerly known as OPENSER project had to change its name to Kamailio. (www.ser.com claimed to infringe their trademark "SER", so much simpler to change the name). Shortly after, there was a fork from Kamailio resulting in an additional open source project called openSIPS.
Thousands of DIDX wholesale buyer and seller members in 170 nations use one of the above or a combination with freeSWITCH and/or Asterisk.
Kamailio was voted one of the winners at Best of Open Source Software Awards 2009 by InfoWorld, with Kamailio project.
